The Claddagh Ring was introduced to Ireland from the small fishing village of Claddagh just outside Galway City and thought to have dated back to the Roman times. They are recognised by two hands clasped around a heart with a crown overhead. The Claddagh ring is known worldwide to be a symbol of love, friendship, honour and loyalty.
